Dollar tree Magic the gathering booster packs.

So i was shopping at my local dollar tree and low and behold what do i find in the store. Magic the gathering cards, sold in repackaged packs of ten, the company repacking them is Pristine inc.  for one dollar. So ten magic cards for a dollar not a bad deal, most common rarities are about ten cents at the average game store. As far as getting any card above common i can not tell you what the percentage would be, so far from what Ive seen most packs consists of common cards from just about every expansion set, ranging from 3 rd edition revised to m15. I have not seen any card above common so far, but I have only bought a few packs. I will plan to go back and buy several packs and open them up on a fairly regular basis and list what I find if I am lucky enough to get a card above common then I will post those only, if they are only all commons then I will just share what I find, and will attempt to figure out if they are worth the investment or if its just better to go to your local store and buy singles.

MTG Card Review, Elixir of immortality.

Elixir of Immortality:
Artifact: Uncommon:
1 Colorless Mana:

Elixir of Immortality is very awesome card. one mana to cast and tap two mana you gain
five life and you get to shuffle Elixir of Immortality and your graveyard into your library. how is that
not amazing, not only do you gain five life you get to recycle your entire graveyard into your library, This is a very useful card for milling someone down in a game. using this card mid to late game is like hitting the reset button on your deck minus the lands you have in play, this card could be very useful for winning games, is it a going to see a lot of tournament play. its hard to tell, I for one think it's worth it.
Please comment or give your feed back, on this card.

MTG Card Review. Ajani's Pridemate

Ajani's Pridemate.
Mana cost, one colorless one White.
2/2 Creature
whenever you gain life put a +1/+1 counter on Ajani's Pridemate.
This is on  of my favorite cards in the m15 core set, Ajani's Pridemate get a +1+1 every time you gain life, now its not a +1+1 for each separate life  point you gain, you get a +1+1 for each time you gain life weather its eight life points or one. i love playing this card in a life gain deck, especially with cards like Soulmender(tap Soulmender you gain one life) ive have been able to get Ajani's Pridemate up too an 18/18 Creature, it was Awesome. this is definatly a very useful card. especially for a two drop mana

MTG Card review, Soulmender

One white Mana.
1/1 Creature.
Tap Soulmender you gain 1 life.
I love playing this card, a one drop mana with one power and toughness. you can get him out the first round and on turn two you can start using it either to attack or to start gaining life.
with the right combination of cards ( Ajani's Pridemate or Wall of Limbs) Soulmender can give  you some awesomely powerful creatures.
and if you don't have a card combination its just fun to tap Soulmender every turn and and start raising your life total, getting that extra boost to help win.

MTG card review.

Regathan Firecat.
2 colorless and 1 red Mana.
Creature, Elemental Cat.
This guy is impressive as a 3 drop Mana and 4 power. In a some what aggressive deck he might be useful. But without haste you still cant use him till turn four, and with no other ability's and only 1 toughness he's lacking in major card value.
None the less this card is still fun to play, and even with only one toughness he inspires a sense of
security when hes the only card option you have.
